Villages in Action: Phil Beer at Hockworthy - Letter from Louise Webber

Phil Beer (well known for 'Show of Hands' with Steve Knightley)
is booked to play Hockworthy hall in May.
(See Phil with 'Show of Hands' at the Bridge Inn in Topsham, Christmas Day 2011.)

Louise Webber of 'Villages in Action' has sent this message:

Come and join us for a foot stomping evening!
Phil Beer is one of the most popular ambassadors for acoustic roots music.
A dazzling instrumentalist, he is best known as a top flight fiddler,
but he also plays guitar, mandocello, viola, mandolin and South American cuatro,
not to mention contributing rich vocals.
His impressive track record includes touring with Mike Oldfield
and guesting on the Rolling Stones Steel Wheels album
and Steve Harley's Poetic Justice.
As half of Show of Hands, Phil has sold out the Royal Albert Hall three times
and was voted Best Live Act, by the public, at the 2004 Folk Awards.
